- Senate Passes Bill Containing $44 Million to Repair the Howard Hanson Dam
WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 23, 2010 - Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced the final passage of the $44 million she secured in emergency funding for critical repairs to the Howard Hanson Dam. The funding, which will go to the Army Corps of Engineers, was included in the Fiscal Year 2010 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations bill that passed the Senate last night by unanimous consent. AUBURN, Wash. – July 21, 2010 - The Auburn Police Officers Association (APOA) is preparing for their 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament will be played at Washington National Golf Course located at 14330 SE Husky Way, Auburn on Saturday, Aug. 21. AUBURN, Wash. – July 20, 2010 – The City of Auburn was notified last week that the King Conservation District (KCD) will award $200,000 in grant funds to complete the Fenster Levee Setback project on the Green River. AUBURN, Wash. – July 14, 2010 – Auburn Police Chief Jim Kelly announced his retirement yesterday from the Auburn Police Department and will become the Deputy Director of the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) regional jail. Kelly has been with Auburn for over 31 years and has 34 years of commission law enforcement service.
